Energy minister meets SPE-Bahrain board members

Manama, Dec. 11 (BNA): Energy Minister Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza met the members of Board of Directors of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) –Bahrain Section, in the presence of the Secretary-General of National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and Deputy CEO of Tatweer Petroleum Bahrain Hisham Khalil Zubari. SPE-Bahrain comprises CEO of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (Nogaholding) and Board Chairman of the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, CEO of CEO of Tatweer Petroleum Bahrain Andrew Kershaw, CEO of Bapco Peter Bartlett and Director of Schlumberger Bahrain Hicham Bouhlal. Dr. Mirza congratulated SPE-Bahrain Board members on the trust bestowed upon them, wishing them every success. The meeting focused on SPE’s efforts to develop the oil and gas sector, especially regarding the holding of international specialised conferences and exhibitions in the kingdom to avail of the international expertise in this field. The delegation expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the minister for the audience, and the issues discussed during the meeting.
