Elections to local self-government bodies scheduled in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, April 4 / Trend, H. Hasanov / The Majlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan adopted a decree to schedule elections of members of the gengesh - local self-government body. According to this document, the elections are scheduled for Aug.19, 2012, on Sunday. According to another decree of the parliament, election of the Mejlis members on two constituencies - No. 26 in Akhal region and No.99 in Mary region will be held on the same date.
