Egyptian Prosecution Office demands death penalty for former president

The Egyptian general prosecutor's office demanded the death penalty in the form of hanging for the former president Hosni Mubarak, former Interior Minister Habib Al-Adli and six deputies, the Egyptian agency MENA said Thursday. Mubarak and former leadership of the Interior Ministry are accused of involvement in the shooting of peaceful demonstrators during the people's uprising in early 2011, RIA Novosti reported.
