Egyptian Armed Forces target Daesh positions in Libya

Cairo, Feb. 16 -- (BNA): The Egyptian Armed Forces on Monday announced it had launched airstrikes against Daesh positions in Libya in retribution following the execution of 21 Egyptian citizens in Libya committed by Daesh terrorist group. Al Youm Al Sabe'a newspaper quoted the Egyptian Armed Forces statement aired on Egyptian TV which said that in compliance with the resolutions issued by the National Defence Council and emanating from Egypt's right to defence the security and stability of its people and in response to the criminal acts committed by criminal terrorist elements, the Egyptian Armed Forces at dawn on Monday had launched focused airstrikes against camps, positions, ammunition and weaponry depots belonging to the "terrorist organisation in Libya".
