Education Ministry's efforts to promote human rights highlighted

Manama, Jan. 24 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi received here today Dr. Mohammed bin Bati Al-Shamsi, from the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue. The minister informed Al-Shamsi about the Education Ministry’s efforts to promote the concepts of human rights in school curricular and student activities. He also briefed him about the ministry’s Citizenship and Human Rights-Promoting Schools, currently implemented in intermediate schools. Dr. Al-Shamsi lauded the efforts exerted by the Education Ministry to spread the concepts of human rights among students through including them in school curricula and activities.
