Education minister receives French senator

Manama, July 29 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi received here today French Senator Jean-Marie Bockel, the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Armed Forces Committee member and Head of the Senate Delegation on Local and Regional Authorities and Decentralisation, currently on a visit to the kingdom. The minister reviewed with Senator Bockel the Bahraini-French relations, especially in the field of education, highlighting the Education Ministry’s interest in teaching the French language. He also discussed with him bilateral cooperation in the field of education, and informed him about the ministry’s development plans. The French senator expressed the keenness of the French Senate and government to consolidate relations with Bahrain at all levels, praising the progress witnessed by the kingdom over the past years in various fields, including education.
