Education Minister honours award winners

Manama, May 15 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi honoured the winners of the fifth edition of the Technological Excellence in Education Award. The ceremony was held at the Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Institute of Technology under the theme "’ Technology in Education – Success Story of Bahrain School". Senior Education Ministry officials, representatives of the public and private schools, winners the fifth edition attended the honouring ceremony. Dr. Al-Nuaimi addressed the event, commending the award which, he said, reflects the success of the of e-learning project, a pioneering scheme supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. Al-Hidaya Al-Khalifiya Secondary School for Boys Principal Yasser bani Hammad delivered a speech on behalf of the winners, hailing Bahrain’s e-learning strides. The minister then honoured outstanding schools and students, winners of the award, as well as the jury members and sponsors before touring the exhibition which showcased student’s entries, on the sidelines of the ceremony.
