Education Minister honors winners of 3rd Gulf Mathematics Olympics

Manama, Apr. 21. (BNA) Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, today received the winners of the Third Gulf Mathematics Olympics, held by Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States(ABEGS) in Oman, in which Bahrain won the third place by winning a silver medal and four bronze ones. The Minister congratulated the students and stressed the importance of participating in regional and international contests which give feedback about the students' performance and assist them to exchange information with their peers. He called on students to participate in the Gifted Students Center (GSC) to benefit from its programmes. Education's Undersecretary for Education and Curriculum Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Yousif Al-Mutawa was present. MJ
