Dr. Saeb Erekat, Visits Diplomatic Institute

Doha, March 21 (QNA) - The Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Member Dr. Saeb Erekat, who is also the chief delegate to the fianal status negotiaitons, on Wednesday visited the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he met with HE Assistant Foreign Minister for Service Affairs Rashid Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and the Institute's Director HE Dr. Hassan Bin Ibrahim Al-Muhannadhi . During the visit, Dr. Erekat talked with the trainees at the institute and stressed the need that the diplomat should be supplied with information and science to be able to continue his work in a sublime and elevated way . The chat also focussed on the main elements the successful negotiators should possess and the need he should be patient, courteous, and nervously calm . At the end of his chat, Dr. Erekat wished the trainees success in their future missions at the foreign ministry affirming that the Qatari diplomacy has become in need to national efficient cadres capable of coping with the developments Qatari diplomacy has witnessed recently. The visit Dr. Erekat paid to the institute falls within the context of the study he prepared under the theme," Changes in Arab World and the Peace Process," . The study is the first ever study the institute issues . It is worth to mention that the Diplomatic Institute is hosting a set of symposia aimed at raising awareness and boosting dialogue and thought on key perceptions of diplomatic action for the specialists and the spectra of the community in general. The target audience combines between specialists in the field of diplomacy and the public. The plan also includes studying the latest developments in political and economic fields, on both the regional and international levels. (QNA)
