DPRK Comes First in Asian Taekwon-Do Championship

Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- DPRK players proved successful at the 9th Asian Taekwon-Do Championship held in Ulan Bator of Mongolia from May 8 to 13. In the championship, which brought together more than 140 men and women Taekwondoists from 13 countries and regions including the DPRK, China, Mongolia, India, Iran and Malaysia, the players from the DPRK took the first place in country standings by winning five trophy cups, 29 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.
