Doha Trade Fair 2013 Starts
Doha, January 01 (QNA) - The Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Tawar Al-Kuwari opened today at Doha Exhibition Center the Doha Trade Fair 2013 (DTF) organized by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) in collaboration with Maraya Public Relation Company with the participation of 400 companies representing 29 countries spread over 570 stands.
After a tour of the Fair Al-Kuwari said in remarks that DTF is developing every year in terms of organization, number of participating companies, presentation and the diversity of goods to the extent that it has become an event eagerly awaited by consumers and individuals both citizens and residents of Doha.
He pointed out that the fair, held on an area of 17,500 square meters, has achieved great success by providing variety of services to shoppers and meeting the needs of customers, pointing out that the diversity of goods in terms of shape, price and country of origin serves different segments of society.
He expected the event to witness overwhelming response during its ten days, especially with the efforts made by each of the QTA and Maraya public relations, in order to facilitate the movement of people and vehicles as well as the shopping.
The Board Member of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry said the fair serves a broad spectrum of society through providing consumer goods. Pointing to the variety of goods, he explained that the demand for participation in the fair has exceeded expectations due to the good reputation the previous editions have built over the past years.
For his part the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maraya Public Relation Company Jaber Al-Mansouri said that the DTF 2013 is providing services newly introduces to trade fairs such as self-service and fair electronic maps.
He stressed that Maraya has managed to raise the service level in DTF 2013 with attention to safety and security measures.
The fair, which involves 100 companies from Qatar, is one of the largest trade fairs in the region, which places a great responsibility on Maraya to maintain this momentum and develop it in each of its editions.
Maraya CEO added that the families and children are cared for in this version where special entertainment programmes and events have been prepared including shows from Iran, Egypt, Yemen, India, Kuwait, Thailand and Jordan in addition to accrobat, clowns and faces paining besides the restaurants and gifts and handcrafts shops.
