Doha to Host Middle East Forum on Quality Improvement in Healthcare

Doha, April 14 (QNA) - Doha will host, from May 17 to19, the Middle East Forum on Quality Improvement in Healthcare. The Forum, which will be held at Doha National Convention Centre, is a fruit of cooperation between Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) in US. The forum will provide a globally recognized platform, help to build momentum, and facilitate the premier gathering of people committed to improving quality and patient safety in health care in Qatar and the Arab region. The Director of Medical Education Department Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Khal said that the forum will feature workshops, lectures and discussions that will equip the participants with practical tools for pushing forward the efforts for improving healthcare in their institutions. He pointed out that the existing cooperation between HMC and IHI will enable HMCs personnel and the other participants to benefit from the expertise of internationally recognized Quality experts. For his part, the Deputy Chief of medical, academic and research affairs in IHI said that the Forum will discuss the best healthcare practices that will help HMC achieve further improvement in health care.
