Director of Green Buildings Council Calls for Implementing Biotecture in Real Estate Projects

Doha , May 07 (QNA) - Director of Qatar Green Buildings Council (QGBC) Meshal Al-Shamari called Tuesday on investors standardizing the use of hanging gardens and Biotecture in real estate projects in Doha. Al-Shamari was speaking on the sidelines of a seminar on using hanging gardens in Doha and the possibility of using biotecture in the future. He said that the concept of biotecture is that cities are not only founded on buildings, but on a rich environment that surrounded it. The Director of QGBC said he expects a great future for biotecture in the State of Qatar. Al-Shamari said that there were studies on how to implement hanging gardens in Doha. In addition to that, there was a vision for increasing green projects in Qatar, Al-Shamari added. He noted that some of the building of different authorities in the state have been classified as green buildings. (QNA)
