Diplomatic Institute Holds Seminar on Japan

Doha, February 13 (QNA) - The Foreign Ministry's Diplomatic Institute has on Wednesday held a seminar under theme of "Japan's Technological Renaissance," where Dr. Kazuyuki Hamada, former parliamentary vice foreign minister and member of the House of Councilors, was the lecturer. Hamada reviewed the effects of the earthquake that hit Japan in 2011, the Tsunami disaster and the huge fire that hit one of its nuclear plants. He also spoke about how the country managed to deal with these crises and the international aids it received from several countries, including Qatar. He noted that Japan is working on combining U.S. curriculum in its educational system while preserving Japanese traditions and norms, adding that his country is keen on strengthening relations with all countries, including Arab countries through its embassies.
