DERASAT's Chairman presents paper at Aseelah

Aseelah, Morocco, Aug. 10 (BNA): The Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT)'s board of trustees Chairman Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Fadhala participated in the 37th Aseelah International Cultural Season in Morocco.
He presented a paper titled "Religion, State, Sectarian Issue in the Arab World: Problems and Alternatives) in which he illustrated the transformations and upheavals in the Arab world since 2011 similar to what had happened in western countries in various past epochs of their history, which they managed to overcome though it took them years or decades to do so.
A characteristically noticeable stalemate prevailed in the Arab world because the aspired change could not be achieved to the better and resulted in abominable (religious, ethnic and geopolitical) strife which led to inability of the united national state to control its full territories when stateless groups challenged the very sovereignty of these countries.
