Deputy Prime Minister Forms Committee
Doha, January 28 (QNA) - HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud issued a decision to establish a committee to review the provisions of the human resources management promulgated by Law No. 8 of 2009 to implement Cabinet decision issued at its fourth ordinary meeting for 2012, held on 02/03/1433 AH corresponding to 25/01/2012 AD.
The decree stipulates that the committee shall include representatives of the Cabinet General Secretariat the Council of Ministers, ministries of Economy and Finance, Justice, Labour and the General Authority for Retirement and Social Security, and two persons with experience and competence to be selected by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.
The Committee’s Secretariat shall be assumed by one employee or more upon the decision to be issued by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.
The Committee shall monitor and study the remarks and proposals concerning the application of the provisions of the aforementioned human resources management law and the proposal of relevant appropriate amendments in coordination with the various bodies which are subject to application of this law provisions. The Cabinet General Secretariat shall address bodies on which the aforementioned human resources management law is applicable to provide the committee with the remarks they saw during their application of the law and their proposals to this effect.
The committee may require any information relevant to its work and to invite to its meetings employees and experts from different government bodies whose assistance in providing consultations, data and interpretations may be needed but they shall not have the right to vote.
The decision stipulated that the committee is to submit a report on the results of its works coupled with its recommendations and proposals to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs to refer it the Cabinet along with views he deems appropriate. (QNA)
