Deputy Premier receives BaPDA Board Chairman

Manama, Oct. 14 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministerial Committee for Construction and Infrastructure Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa stressed the key role played by the non-government organisations (NGOs) in creating a healthy and balanced atmosphere for sustainable development between the public and private sectors.
He was speaking as he received today Board Chairman of Bahrain Property Development Association (BaPDA) Aref Hejres and members Dr. Hassan Al-Bastaki, Dr. Maher Al-Saher and Yasser Al-Sharah who presented him with the first edition of a magazine on property development in Bahrain which is issued by BaPDA.
He stressed the government’s support to NGOs given their significant role in boosting voluntary and non-profit work of social nature and backing the policy of openness characterising the Bahraini society.
He hailed the initiative of BaPDA in issuing the magazine, urging the editing panel to ensure its continuity by tacking important issues pertaining to the real estate market in Bahrain. He also directed to translate the magazine into other languages to highlight Bahrain’s development in the real estate field and issue electronic versions together with the printed editions.
He praised the content of the first edition of the magazine which provides an overall coverage of the functions held in the first semester of this year to develop the real estate sector.
The BaPDA Board Chairman thanked on behalf of the association’s Board of Directors Shaikh Khalid for his support to BaPDA, in particular, and the real estate sector, in general. He pointed out that the issuance of the magazine is considered as a new and advanced step to promote the property development industry in Bahrain and provide a media platform for the association’s efforts and initiatives.
