Deputy Premier Meets Sudanese, International Officials

Doha, June 03 (QNA) - HE the Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed Abdullah Al Mahmoud met here on Monday with the Chaiman of Darfur Regional Authority and leader of Liberation and Justice Movement, Tijani Sese and the Sudanese Minister of State at the Presidency, Amin Hassan Omar, who are currently visiting Doha to participate in the extraordinary meeting of Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD) follow up committee slated for Tuesday in Doha. Separately, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs met with the African Union-UN Special Joint Representative in Darfur Mohamed bin Shambas. The two meetings dealt with the progress of the Darfur Peace Process in the wake of the assassination of a number of Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) leaders who signed peace agreement with the Sudanese government on the basis of DDPD. The meetings were attended by a number of officials at the Cabinet General Secretariat. (QNA)
