Deputy PM Discusses Peace Developments in Darfur

Doha , May 27 (QNA) - HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud held Sunday two separate meetings with the Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) Joint Chief Mediator Ibrahim Gambari, who is , as well as EU Special Representative for Sudan Rosalind Marsden. Both officials are currently visiting Doha. HE the Deputy Prime Minister discussed the advancement of the peace process in Darfur with the two officials. HE Al Mahmoud also discussed the issues on the agenda of the High Follow-Up Committee for Peace in Darfur (HFCPD)'s third meeting, which will be held in Doha tomorrow Monday. They also discussed preparations for the International Conference of Donors for the reconstruction and development of Darfur, which will be held in Doha as well. (QNA)
