Deputy chairman of Cabinet meets with new UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov met with newly appointed Resident Coordinator of the United Nations (UN) system in the Kyrgyz Republic, Christine Antje Grawe. During the meeting, Edil Baisalov, on behalf of the leadership of the republic, congratulated Antje Grawe on her appointment to a high position and outlined the priority areas for the Cabinet of Ministers, emphasizing the special significance of the initiatives proposed by the country's leadership in the field of sustainable mountain development, which were embodied in a number of resolutions adopted by the UN General Assembly. The deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers also expressed hope that the professionalism and experience of the UN representative will contribute to the continuation of deep interaction in all areas of mutual interest. In turn, Antje Grawe noted her readiness to continue work on ongoing projects implemented in Kyrgyzstan, outlining the positive dynamics in promoting the mountain theme within the international agenda.
