Defence minister attends Gallipoli Battle centenary ceremony

Ankara, Apr. 27 (BNA): On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, the Minister of Defence Affairs Lieutenant-General Yussef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma took part in the ceremony marking the centenary of the Battle of Gallipoli in Canakkale, Turkey. The ceremony was held in Turkey on April 24 under the patronage of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The minister conveyed the greetings of HM King Hamad to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and wishes of abundant good health and happiness to him, and of further progress and prosperity to the friendly Turkish people. The minister also met the Turkish Defence Minister Ismet Yilmaz on the sidelines of the "Peace Conference", held in Istanbul on April 23.
