Darfur's Authority Chief Highly Appreciates HH the Emir's Advancing Darfur Peace Process

Khartoum, June 14 (QNA) - Chairman of the Darfur Regional Authority Dr. Al-Tijani Al-Sisi has highly appreciated and evaluated the role HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani has been playing through his personal follow-up and financial support to advance further the Darfur peace process to realize its cherished targets. In a statement aired over Sudan radio on Friday, Al Sisi said the Darfur peace process has moved forward to advanced stages to change the situation for the best thanks to the accomplishments realized on the ground of reality the matter which has tangibly affected the peace of life and reality the Darfurians have now been feeling. Elaborating the Chairman of the Darfur Regional Authority further said that for this reason the Darfurians are strongly rejecting any attempt to undermine and destabilize security and stability of their province. The Doha peace accord is the sole platform available for peace in Darfur since the Doha peace document has been unanimously approved by the Darfurians, said Al Sisi who called upon the armed movements to join the process to continue the course of peace and development and contribute much to enhancing the reconstruction process in Darfur in a positive way. The Chairman of the Darfur Regional Authority Al Sisi also told Sudan radio that the State of Qatar is the first donor country to Darfur that has fulfilled its obligations and fully committed itself to support the Darfur enclave, the matter which much contributed to accelerating the peace process and meet the challenges in a high spirit manner. Al-Sisi meantime highly evaluated the Qatari role at the international level, which contributed significantly to the success of the donors' conference and the international community's support for the peace process in Darfur. The chairman of Darfur Regional Authority has revealed that Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has ordered speeding up the establishment of the community policing in Darfur and take advantage of the Liberation and justice movement's forces to form such a police force to work for the protection of the development projects and safeguard the innocent also for meeting challenges facing the peace process by a community and strong police to safeguard and secure the peace process in the enclave.
