Cypriot President Receives Credentials of Qatari Ambassador

Nicosia, July 27 (QNA) - President of the Republic of Cyprus, HE Nicos Anastasiades, has received credentials of HE Hussein bin Ahmed Al-Humaid as Qatar's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Cyprus. During the meeting, the Qatari Ambassador conveyed his greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and wishes of best of health and happiness to the Cypriot President and further progress and prosperity to the government and the friendly Cypriot people. For his part, the Cypriot President entrusted the Ambassador with his greetings to HH the Emir and wishes of best of health and happiness to him and further progress and prosperity to the State of Qatar and its people. He also wished the Qatari Ambassador success in his new mission, assuring full cooperation to promote bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields. On his side, the Qatari envoy thanked the Cypriot President for the warm reception, praising the bilateral relations between the two countries and voicing keenness to enhance them in various fields. The ceremony of presentation of credentials was attended by the Second Secretary at the Qatari embassy Shafi Noemi Hajri and the Third Secretary Abdul Rahman Saleh Al Attiyah. (QNA)
