Customs Department Holds "Security Skills & Body Language" Workshop

Doha, January 23 (QNA) - The General Department of Customs has announced the launch of a joint workshop with Police Training Institute on "Sense of Security Skills and Body Language", where 30 customs officials participate. The workshop shall instill vigilance and common sense in customs officials, a statement released here Monday quoting the department's Director of Customs Affairs Hassan Ali Al-Nuaimi as saying. The workshop aims to provide trainees with the skills by understanding body language, behavior and communication, and benefit from them while on duty, the statement said. The workshop also seeks to develop the capacity of GDC officials who are considered the country's safety valve and the first gate to protect it from any dangers. On his turn, the customs department's Training Institute Director Mohamed Jabr Al-Nuaimi said that the workshop is one among a series of workshops the department offers to officials in order to promote their skills and provide them with the experiences needed for their work, especially skills that have to do with sense of security, body language, personal behavior and developing communication skills.
