Customs Chief launches King Fahd Causeway e-system

Manama, Apr7(BNA)Customs President and King Fahad Causeway General Organisation Deputy Chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa launched the e-link system between Bahraini-Saudi Customs at the strategic artery bonding the two neighbouring countries to facilitate traffic on both sides. The second phase of the system will cover land-clearance section. The Customs Chief inspected the flow of traffic operations on the Bahraini side of the causeway. He pointed out that the old and new systems are still being using jointly to ensure the new applications before shifting completely to the new scheme. He hailed the steps taken so far as well as the coordination between Bahrain and Saudi customs to develop work procedures and streamline measures at the causeway. A H N
