Customs Affairs holds workshops

Manama, Aug. 5 (BNA): As part of the directives of President of Customs Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa and under the patronage of Director-General of Security and Follow-up Colonel Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed bin Yousif Al Khalifa, the Customs Affairs has organised eight workshops for 250 employees, customs clearance agents and businessmen, in cooperation with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The workshops were part of preparation of the plan of the Customs Affairs to join the e-exchange system with the Information Center of the General Secretariat of Gulf Cooperation Council on August 9. The Customs Affairs has printed 250,000 customs statements that were distributed among customs ports, and work a team of local and foreign liaison officers was formed to follow up on the implementation procedures.
