Crown Prince patronises Royal Academy of Police graduation and praises the instrumental role the Ministry of Interior plays in maintaining security within the Kingdom

Manama, Dec. 29 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today patronised the Royal Academy of Police’s ceremony to mark the graduation of the eighth class of candidate officers. His Royal Highness was welcomed by the Minister of Interior, His Excellency Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and other senior officers from the Ministry of Interior. His Royal Highness praised the instrumental role the Ministry of Interior plays in maintaining security within the Kingdom, and the Kingdom’s standards of policing which are in line with international standards. His Royal Highness also highlighted the success of the prestigious Royal Academy of Police’s training programmes, and His Majesty King Hamad’s continued support to the Academy. His Royal Highness praised the Minister of Interior’s vital contribution to maintaining peace and stability within Bahrain and noted his dedication to his ministerial responsibilities. His Royal Highness also paid tribute to the Kingdom’s fallen police officers and their dedication to protecting the Kingdom’s citizens. In this regard, His Royal Highness welcomed His Majesty’s initiative to hold Commemoration Day during the Kingdom’s national celebrations. His Royal Highness then offered his congratulations to the commissioning officer cadets and highlighted their dedication to supporting His Majesty’s programme of reform and sustainable development. For his part, His Excellency Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa expressed his appreciation to His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness the Prime Minster, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for their continued support. His Excellency went on to note the importance of improving policing capabilities, developing training, and ensuring the readiness of the Ministry in light of on-going security threats. During the ceremony, Colonel Dr Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Academy of Police, also addressed the officers. He emphasised the importance of high quality training so that officers can meet the challenges faced in their future careers. He also stressed the importance of exchanging expertise and noted that that this year’s batch of candidate officers includes officers from Kuwait and Jordan. His Royal Highness inspected the officer-cadets’ parade before the commencement of the commissioning parade. His Royal Highness also honoured the top achievers and the officer cadets took their oath. The Minister of Interior then handed out the commissioning certificates to the officer cadets and noted their high achievements and wished them success in their future endeavors. His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince also attended the ceremony.
