Crown Prince meets US Ambassador and Fifth Fleet Commander

Manama, June 25 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met Ambassador of the United States to the Kingdom of Bahrain, William Roebuck and Commander of the US Fifth Fleet, Vice Admiral John Miller, at Riffa Palace. During the meeting, His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of deepening international cooperation and coordination to address new complex regional challenges. His Royal Highness highlighted that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, the Kingdom continues to support ongoing efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the region. His Royal Highness and the Ambassador then reviewed key regional and international issues and highlighted the importance of combatting all forms of terrorism and extremism. His Royal Highness and the Ambassador went on to highlight the longstanding ties between the two countries, and reviewed various areas of cooperation that help to support shared strategic goals and interests. For his part, Ambassador Roebuck expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and welcomed His Royal Highness’ interest and support in further enhancing relations between Bahrain and the United States.
