Crown Prince meets UAE National Archives Director General

Manama, June 10 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Rayes, Director General of National Archives at the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Presidential Affairs and Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of Isa Cultural Centre’s Board of Trustees and Executive Director of the Isa Cultural Centre, at Riffa Palace. His Royal Highness highlighted the important role played by cultural centres in preserving history and promoting cultural heritage which help to reinforce national identity. He praised the long-standing bilateral ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE across a variety of sectors, including culture and education. His Royal Highness emphasised that this cooperation is underpinned by the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) shared values and commitment to regional unity. In this regard, His Royal Highness stressed the importance of further developing all levels of cooperation between the two countries, and welcomed the cooperation between the Isa Cultural Center and UAE’s National Archives. Dr. Al Rayes expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and highlighted His Royal Highness’s ongoing support for the role of cultural and education institutions across the region.
