Crown Prince meets outgoing Egyptian Ambassador: highlights Bahraini-Egyptian historic ties

Manama, Nov.2 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met His Excellency Essam Awad, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Gudaibiya Palace to mark the end of the Ambassador’s service in the Kingdom. During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the deep and historic ties between Egypt and Bahrain and emphasised Egyptian efforts to ensure long-term security and stability in the region, as reflected by President el-Sisi’s visit to the Kingdom. In this regard, His Royal Highness welcomed the participation of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in the 11th edition of the Manama Dialogue, and reiterated that el-Sisi’s opening address has helped outline the complexity of security issues impacting the region. His Royal Highness went on to underscore el-Sisi’s remarks on the need to focus on social and economic development to support long-term positive stability throughout the region. In conclusion, His Royal Highness highlighted the Ambassador’s efforts in supporting bilateral cooperation and strengthening ties between the two countries, and wished the Ambassador every success in his future endeavors. For his part, His Excellency the Egyptian Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and for the support he had received during his tenure in the Kingdom.
