Crown Prince meets Bangladeshi Foreign Minister

Manama, Dec. 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, at Gudaibiya Palace. His Royal Highness praised the strategic ties between Bahrain and South Asian countries, and affirmed that the Kingdom will continue to explore ways to further expand bilateral cooperation with Bangladesh. Turning to regional affairs, His Royal Highness noted that the recent establishment of the Saudi-led Islamic military alliance represents a significant milestone in strengthening efforts to stem the tide of violent extremism across the region. His Royal Highness stressed that Bahrain is fully committed to supporting the role of the new alliance and that protecting the region’s stability and security remains a key priority. Foreign Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, attended the meeting.
