Crown Prince: Islamic principles emphasised

Manama, June 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister this evening visited the Majlis of Shaikh Abdul Hussain Khalaf Al Asfoor, the Majlis of the sons of the late Ali bin Yousif Fakhro, and the Majlis of the sons of the late Rashid bin Abdul Rahman Al-Zayani. During the Majlis visits, His Royal Highness highlighted the role of Islam in promoting tolerance and moderation, and emphasised that Islam is a religion of peace. His Royal Highness added that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, the Kingdom continues to reinforce Islamic principles that embrace religious diversity. His Royal Highness went on to praise the strong unity among Bahrain’s community, and added that these bonds are underpinned by a shared commitment to supporting Bahraini values and national identity. Turning to Bahrain’s business community, His Royal Highness highlighted its important role in further developing the Kingdom’s economic and trade standings, and emphasised the private sector’s role in supporting sustainable development, which is a key priority for government. For their part, Shaikh Al Asfoor, the sons of Ali bin Yousif Fakhro and the sons of Rashid bin Abdul Rahman Al-Zayani expressed their gratitude for His Royal Highness’ visit, and highlighted His Royal Highness’ commitment to his annual Majlis visits during the holy month of Ramadan.
