Countdown begins for Bahrain International Book Fair

Manama, March 24 (BNA)-- The sixteenth edition of Bahrain International Book Fair is set to get underway on March 27 at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The exhibition is organised by the Culture Ministry under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. It will attract more than 300 local, Arab and international publishing houses and cultural institutions. The biennial event will also feature a cultural programme and a wide range of functions to the benefit of visitors. A variety of books will go on display and new ones will be launched to the relish of avid readers. The fair is considered as a quantum leap on the cultural scene which has gained a good international reputation in setting a platform to discover the universal value of books and publications.
