Cooperation to promote Bahraini women progress reviewed

Manama, Feb 16 (BNA): Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Secretary General Hala Al-Ansari today received Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Annika Soder. Ways to enhance cooperation and exchange of expertise to bring greater success and progress for Bahraini women were reviewed. Al-Ansari pointed out the SCW efforts, led by wife of HM the King also SCW President HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, in supporting and empowering Bahraini women at all levels, integrating their needs in national development programs, as well as promoting the principle of equal opportunities between the two genders. Minister Soder commended the role of the SCW President in uplifting the Bahraini women's status and accentuating their contributions shoulder to shoulder with men to the comprehensive development process taking place in various areas. Minister Soder paid a visit to Women's Competence Development Centre (Riyadat) to learn about Bahrain's experience in supporting Bahraini women entrepreneurship projects.
