Consultative Meeting of Heads of States of Central Asia kicks off in Cholpon-Ata

Cholpon-Ata, July 21, 2022. /Kabar/. The Fourth Consultative Meeting of Heads of States of Central Asia has begun in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul. The meeting is attended by Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimukhamedow and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Thus, after the handshake ceremony, the heads of states began the meeting in an extended format. Sadyr Zhaparov welcomed the Central Asian leaders and especially mentioned the president of Turkmenistan. "Dear Serdar Gurbangulyevich, today is the first time you are taking part in the Consultative Meeting. I am confident that you will continue the mission of esteemed Gurbanguly Myalikgulyevich and make your contribution to integration and cooperation in Central Asia. I take this opportunity to wish you great success and achievements in your post for the prosperity of Turkmenistan," he said. Thus, the Kyrgyz leader officially opened the Fourth Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia. The leaders will exchange views on strengthening cooperation among Central Asian states to jointly respond to challenges and threats to regional security, discuss prospects for expanding cooperation to ensure sustainable economic growth in the region, as well as further strengthening of cultural and humanitarian cooperation among Central Asian states. In addition, the signing of documents aimed at strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness and cooperation between the countries of the region is planned in the framework of the regular Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia.
