Concerted efforts urged to protect Bahrain hard-won gains

Manama, Jan. 15 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh praised the outcome of the meeting of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa with senior members of the royal family and senior officials. He said the meeting reflects the royal keenness to keep in touch with officials to discuss issues pertaining to the welfare of the nation and citizens. Al Saleh lauded the royal directives to the legislative branch to boost cooperation, stressing the Shura Council's role in the legislative process and full cooperation with the Representatives Council and the government to achieve citizens' aspirations. He pointed out the importance to translate the royal directives into a reality through concerted efforts to protect hard-won national gains amid the exceptional global economic and security circumstances. He also underscored the Shura Council's strong resolve to continue working for the best interest of Bahrain and its people in order to attain the goals of the reform and modernisation project spearheaded by HM the King.
