Commander-in-chief receives US assistant state secretary

Manama, June 8 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received here today the Assistant US State Secretary for arms control, verification and compliance Frank Rose and his accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the kingdom. The commander-in-chief reviewed with the US official the existing bilateral relations based on joint cooperation and coordination, lauding the steady growth of those ties in various fields, especially the military one. Issues of mutual concern were also discussed. The Assistant US State Secretary was briefed about the BDF's establishment phases, units and development programmes and the support allocated to it during the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander. Director of Military Security Major-General Hassan Mohammed Saad, Inspector-General Major-General Abdulla Hassan Al-Nuaimi, Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Logistics Rear Admiral Yussef Ahmed Malallah, Commander of the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF) Air Vice-Marshal Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations Brigadier-General Ghanim Ibrahim Al-Fadhala, Director of Military Cooperation Shaikh Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa were present.
