Commander-in-chief receives British delegation

Manama, Jan. 24 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received here today a British parliamentary delegation, led by the Director of the Conservative Middle East Council Leo Docherty, who was accompanied by the member of the Defence Committee Retired Colonel Robert Stewart. Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant-General Youssef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma, and BDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi. The commander-in-chief lauded the outstading long-standing Bahraini-British friendship relations, praising the advanced level of the existing bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially regarding the exchange of expertise and military collaboration. Other issues of common interest were also discussed. Bahrain’s Ambassador to the UK Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Acting Director of the BDF General Command Major-General Hassan Mohammed Sa’ad, Inspector-General Major-General Abdulla Hassan Al-Nuaimi, Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Catering Rear Admiral Youssef Ahmed Malallah and senior BDF officers attended.
