Coastguards seize half ton of shrimps

Manama, Dec. 19(BNA): The Coast Guard patrols have seized around a half ton of illegally caught shrimps by trawlers. The Coast Guard Commander said that the boats were spotted by the radar system of the Maritime Operation Centre while sailing without operating the Automatic Identification System (AIS) during the period of the marine ban. He said that relevant procedures are being taken.
