Civil Defense Honors Participants in Third Civil Defense Expo and Conference

Doha, December 31 (QNA) - The Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Civil Defense (GDCD) has organized an honoring ceremony for reporters, representatives of the local press and a host of organizers and agencies that participated in the 3rd Civil Defense Exhibition and Conference, which were held from 14 -16/11/2011. The event was attended by GDCD Director General Brig Abdullah Muhammad Al Suwaidi and a number of department's directors, officers and guests. At the beginning of the ceremony, Al Suwaidi said that event was held in order to thank and recognize the efforts of those participated in organizing the 3rd Civil Defense Exhibition and Conference. Since its launch in 2007, the civil defense conference and expo has been making a great success and this indicates that we are on the right course, he said, wishing that this success and well-organization of the event continue to ensure the success of the 4th Civil Defense Exhibition and Conference. During the ceremony, a film on the history of the Civil Defense Exhibition and Conference since its first edition as well as the preparation made before the launch of the 3rd expo and conference were screened. The 3rd edition of the Civil Defense Exhibition and Conference was the largest one in the size of participation as 93 exhibitors representing 950 agencies and companies around the world took part in the Exhibition.
