CHINESE PREMIER SAYS TURKEY, CHINA DECIDED TO ESTABLISH STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP



ANKARA (A.A) - 08.10.2010 - Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao said on Friday that Turkey and China decided to establish a strategic partnership and it would be milestone in relationship between the two countries.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Wen held a press conference after their meeting in Ankara.
Wen said that they held comprehensive and beneficial meetings with Premier Erdogan.
The two countries agreed to establish a strategic partnership and it would contribute to the interests of the two peoples and world peace, he said. 
Wen said he invited Erdogan to China and the two countries also decided to establish joint mechanisms to fight against terrorism and extremism.
Chinese party would exert efforts for development of commercial ties in a sustainable and balanced way and China was also eager to cooperate with Turkey in the areas of transportation and energy, he said.
Chinese Premier Wen said they were eager to boost commercial relations with Turkey and mutual visits would make important contributions to dialogue among civilizations.
Wen added they appreciated Turkey's efforts regarding Iran.
