China's Qingdao City donates 100,000 yuan to flood-hit Thailand
BANGKOK, November 10 (TNA) - Chiang Mai Governor M.L. Panadda Diskul said on Thursday that China's Qingdao City has donated 100,000 yuan or about 500,000 baht to assist flood victims in Thailand.
M.L. Panadda told reporters that Qingdao Mayor Xia Gang has also delivered him a message of concerns for the Thai people affected by the country's ongoing vast flooding, and that the goodwill gesture reflects deepened friendship between the two cities and paves way for further cooperation with mutual benefits for people of both countries in the future.
Thailand's northern resort Chiang Mai Province and China's Qingdao city have maintained sound relations and cooperation in several fields since 2003 when they first established sisters' city relationship. (TNA)
