Children's Day activities start throughout Thailand

BANGKOK, January 14 (TNA) - To mark National Children's Day 2012, which falls on Saturday January 14, activities were organised for Thai youths in Bangkok and other provinces throughout Thailand by public and private agencies to promote the quality growth of younger Thai generations. In Bangkok, the Royal Thai Air Force, for instance, introduced its Blue Phoenix acrobat flight team at the Don Mueang Airport, and even organized activities at its flight schools and bases nationwide, while a variety of activities were also organised at the Government House and the Thai Parliament for children and youths. In the southern Satun Province, a number of activities were organised for local children to enjoy, show off their talents and learn the value of unity. In Songkhla Province, also in the Thai South, an exhibition was held for local students to show off their innovations and products. In the northern Lamphun Province, the management of local MCOT Radio organized a fair for rural Karen children at Baan Doi Kham School to promote equality among urban and rural children. (TNA)
