Chief of staff participates in Arab military meeting

Manama, Apr. 23 (BNA): Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi led the kingdom's delegation to the first meeting of the chiefs of staff of Arab armies, held in Cairo from April 21 to 23. Arab chiefs of staff discussed ways to consolidate joint Arab defence policies and strengthen military coordination among Arab League's member states. The meeting discussed the implementation of the resolution of the Arab Summit, held recently in Sharm el-Sheikh, on establishing a Joint Arab Force to serve Arab issues and protect Arab National security. The Chief of Staff returned to Bahrain today, alongside a number of BDF senior officers, who accompanied him during the Cairo meeting.
