Chairman of EEC Board Mikhail Myasnikovich arrives in Bishkek

Bishkek, May 25, 2022 / Kabar /. The delegation of the Eurasian Economic Commission headed by Chairman of the Board Mikhail Myasnikovich arrived in Bishkek. The program includes participation in the First Eurasian Economic Forum on May 26, in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on May 27, a meeting with the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic. Over 2,500 people from 15 countries have registered to participate in the First Eurasian Economic Forum, which starts on May 26. The forum will become one of the largest business events in the EAEU after a forced break due to the coronavirus pandemic. About 35 events will be held within the framework of the forum. The forum includes a plenary session with the participation of the heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as 21 thematic sessions. The participants of the sessions will discuss the prospects for the strategic development of Eurasian integration in an era of global change, issues of financial development and macroeconomic stability, revitalization of activities in the energy and transport sectors, digitalization, as well as the situation in the industry of the EAEU countries. It is planned to sign about 10 memorandums and agreements at the forum. Within the framework of the forum, an exhibition of the best agricultural products of the EAEU will be organized. The Eurasian Economic Forum is an annual business event of the Eurasian Economic Union in the economic sphere, held alternately in the member state of the Union that chairs the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The meeting of the Higher Eurasian Economic Council will be held via videoconferencing chaired by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, with the participation of the heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union - Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Chairman of the Board EEC Mikhail Myasnikovich. Presidents of the EAEU observer states - Cuba and Uzbekistan - Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez and Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also take part in the meeting of the Supreme Council.
