Celebrities Join Wheels n Heels Excitement

Doha, February 05 (QNA) - A host of celebrities from Qatar and across the Arab world will be joining thousands of families for the 6th Wheels n Heels Family Fun Day, sponsored by Flagship sponsor Maersk Oil Qatar and leadership sponsor Commercial bank Qatar, on Friday 8th February. Organised by Qatar s leading education and humanitarian NGO Reach Out To Asia (ROTA), Wheels n Heels 2013 at the Museum of Islamic Art Park promises eight hours of exciting activities for the whole family. The fun starts 2:00 p.m. as the Wheels n Heels Action Zones burst into life. Children will love the massive number of activities in the Kidz Zone, including the interactive arts and learning activities provided by Children Cultural Centre space, skills based competitions, bouncy castle, stilt walkers and much, much more. The Aspire Academy for Sport, Qatar s leading sports foundation, will also be providing children with training and hosting numerous fitness activities. The Wheels n Heels Stage hosts an Instant Art Show by Colombian artist Jose Arias and a display of Brazilian Capoeira, a spontaneous and spectacular non-contact martial art which combines music, skills, strategy, dance and acrobatics. Music fans will enjoy performances by Egyptian singer Hamza Al Namira, Iraqi singer and Star Academy contestant Rahma Riyadh, Kuwaiti singer and Star Academy runner-up Bashar Al-Shatti and Bahraini comedians Ali Al-Ghrair and Khalil Al-Rohaithi. Partnering with ROTA for every Wheels n Heels Family Fun Day since the event s inauguration in 2006, the Qatar Cycling Federation will once again celebrate the successful management of the Tour of Qatar before setting up and marshalling the Wheels n Heels Circuit inside the MIA Park. Getting close to the cycling action is part of the Wheels n Heels excitement. On Friday 8th February, the Tour of Qatar Finale as Wheels n Heels Circuit opened for thousands of participants to jog, cycle, skateboard or walk at Circuit to raise funds for ROTA s local and international education projects. "The unique partnership between the Qatar Cycling Federation and Reach Out To Asia has significant benefits for the development of sports and fitness awareness in Qatar specially cycling as we encourage more people to cycle as an exciting and healthy way of taking regular exercise for healthy life style," says ROTA Executive Director Mr. Essa Al Mannai. Following the success of the Tour of Qatar since its inaugural event in 2002, the Qatar Cycling Federation, the organization responsible for track and road racing in Qatar, is currently celebrating its achievement in bringing the 2016 UCI Road World Championships to Qatar, the first Middle East country to host world cycling s most prestigious championship event. There will be plenty to interest participants of all ages with all the live entertainment hosted by Wheels n Heels MCs Ibrahim Al Beshri (Al Jazeera Children s Channel) and Eman Al Mograbi (Baraem Children s Channel).(QNA)
