CBB, SCW launch Bahraini Women's Day 2015 logo

Manama, Apr. 12 (BNA): In cooperation with the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), ehe Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), has today launched the official logo for Bahraini Women’s Day 2015. Each year, the Bahraini Women's Day, held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King, and the President of the Supreme Council for Women, recognises Bahraini women's achievements in a different sector. This year celebrates the contributions of Bahraini women under the theme: "Women in the Financial and Banking Sector." The logo was circulated to all financial and banking institutions licensed by the CBB as the industry launches a series of events promoting the role of women in the sector and their further development. This includes a series of roundtables and mentoring programmes leading up to a main conference on "Women in Banking and Finance" on the 30th of November 2015, which will be held just ahead of the annual Bahraini Women's Day on 1st December. In support of these events, the CBB renewed its invitation to all financial and banking institutions to support the campaign of planned activities. On this occasion, Dr. Huda Hussain Al Maskati, Executive Director of Corporate Services of the CBB, , said: "The launch of the logo celebrating women in the financial and banking sector forms part of the efforts of the CBB to showcase the important role that women have played in the development of the industry in Bahrain over the last 50 years. It also marks the start of a series of events between now and the 1st of December 2015 when we celebrate Bahraini Women’s Day. The year-long event celebrates women’s success stories in the industry to encourage a new generation of women to pursue a career in the financial and banking industry to promote and support women and their work in the industry."
