Capital governor receives Russian ambassador

Manama, Jan. 17. (BNA) – Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa received here today the Russian Ambassador to Bahrain Victor Smirnov. Shaikh Hesham lauded the advanced level of the Bahraini-Russian relations, and the steady growth of bilateral cooperation. He affirmed the Capital Governorate's keenness to provide all requirements to enhance bilateral partnership in order to boost joint cooperation. Ambassador Smirnov conveyed greetings from the Russian Government to the capital Governor, stressing the steady progress of bilateral relations thanks to the two countries' leaderships' desire to develop them constantly. They discussed the activation of the memorandum of cooperation between the Capital Governorate and the Russian City of Saint Petersburg, signed on the sidelines of the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to Russian in April, 2014.
