Capital governor receives Bahraini ambassador to Russia

Manama, Nov. 2 (BNA): Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa received here today the Bahraini Ambassador to Russia Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Saati. They reviewed the results of the Capital Governorate delegation's visit to Saint Petersburg last October 10-15. Shaikh Hisham praised the steadily growing relations between the capital governorate and Saint Petersburg and their positive impact on activating the agreement signed between the two cities, in order to expand the horizons of joint cooperation in various fields and unite efforts aimed at promoting the Bahraini-Russian relations. He affirmed the deep-rooted bilateral relations and stressed the remarkable role of the two countries' leaderships at consolidating the joint cooperation. He expressed thanks and appreciation to the ambassador for his efforts at facilitating the visit of the capital governorate's delegation to Saint Petersburg and strengthening the joint ties. The ambassador highlighted the role played by the governor to activate the joint cooperation agreement, expressing his hope that the agreement will be promoted so as to serve the best interest of both the countries. They discussed the planned visit of the delegation from Saint Petersburg to the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the chairmanship of Saint Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko, on December 6-8.
