Capital Governor congratulates HRH Premier

Manama, Aug.8 (BNA): Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abderrahman Al-Khalifa today extended congratulations to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa on the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Award which will be conferred on him during a ceremony at the UN headquarters in New York on September 26, marking ITU’s 150th anniversary. In a statement today, he hailed the ITU honour as an international recognition of HRH the Premier's leading role in supporting the goals of sustainable development and bolstering Bahrain's standing in the regional and international arenas. He commended the successful Government-led efforts which enabled Bahrain to achieve landmark strides in the sectors of information technology and telecommunications.
